Law Access Walk for Justice 2026

The Law Access Walk for Justice is an annual event. It is held on National Pro Bono Day and is part of National Law Week. It is an event strongly supported by the legal profession in Western Australia.

It raises funds for pro bono work which is free or low fee legal help. It enables legal help for people who cannot afford a lawyer. It also celebrates the free work of the legal profession of Western Australia.

This year the walk took place on 19 May 2026 and started at Barrack Square. Everyone enjoyed the walk along the foreshore of the Derbal Yaragan (Swan River) and finished at the Bell Tower for breakfast. The number of people who get involved increases every year.

In 2026 so far $166,230 has been raised.

Judge Quail was not able to attend this year and be an ambassador, but he is still a big supporter of the event.

The Children's Court team thanks every one who donates money and joins in. This generosity will make a difference to helping people have access to justice.
