If you Plead Not Guilty

If you say "not guilty" you will have to come back to court on another day for a trial.

Make sure you talk to a lawyer before the trial.

A trial is when all the witnesses come to court and give evidence. They will tell the judge or magistrate what they know about the crime.

You can also bring your own witnesses to court to give evidence if you want to.

When the court has heard all the evidence, the judge or magistrate will decide if you are guilty or not guilty.
